Dr Michal Kaufman is the Rosh Midrasha at Mizrachi Synagogue.

She received her Bachelor of Education degree from Sydney University and her Masters of Education and PhD from Monash University. She is also a graduate of the Senior Educators' Program at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.

For over a decade, Dr Kaufman held the position of Head of Jewish Studies at Mount Scopus College (Primary and Secondary). Prior to moving to Melbourne, she worked as a teacher and then Head of Jewish Studies at Moriah College in Sydney.
